What about a day to celebrate our minds?

Worker’s Day, Human Right’s Day; this day, that day; what about mind-day? What about a day for our minds? The more we evolve as human being, the more we increase our capacity for knowledge; the less and less we worry about our minds. Frivolous, physical entertainment drives our lives, but to what benefit does it service the future? Our ancestors would be shocked if they would see us now. What an achievement the wheel must have been to a man who had only sticks and stones, and yet, our libraries, filled with books, turn to graveyards for knowledge, while our brain’s rot in front of the soul-sucking, glass and plastic, moving picture box that we call TV. For shame humanity, for shame; our day of reckoning will come. And not by the hand of a god, but by our own hands; whether it be because of turning to drugs and alcohol to cope or after the total destruction of our world, after the mindless deforestation of our planet, all in the pursuit of a few more bucks...
