A new look, please comment

Hi all

For those who have been here before, you'll notice I've changed the look of my blog.
I think it's much better and suits the message I'm trying to get out there.

I've still got more to do, like some of the pages look a little cluttered.
Nevertheless, I'd like to start getting feedback from the community to see if anything can be improved.

Please also check out the home page and some of the other pages if you can.

Your comments and support are appreciated

how to better understand their children.
And I show people who are facing difficulties that they are not alone

  1. I think your blog looks great. One thing that I do feel is lacking is who are you? I don't see a picture, I don't see an "about me" section. I know that personally, when I go to a blog, I like to get a feeling of "connect" with who is behind the blog. But everything else looks great to me.

  2. I agree with Sandy about the photo. Also some visual photo or other image showing kids and or parents might convey more too. I think your blog looks very "news journaly" (like how I make up words!) and I think some softer touches via a photo or fun header would make it feel more welcoming!!

  3. I like the white page, clean look. I think your previous page was colored...this looks more like a website than a blog (is that the intention?). As a website, there might be too many links on the side and in between your article and comment section. (can you remove recommended content? or is it a paid option?) Anyway, just nitpicking an otherwise nice upgrade from the former. Good job, and good luck.

  4. It is a much cleaner look! You do need an about me section for sure! I also agree that their are too many linkson the side bar - its okay to have some but if there so much writing next to the article it detracts from your message.

  5. I like the look - left column seems a bit wider than the blog itself. I second or the third bio!

  6. All points valid and noted.
I'll get cracking on this today.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
    I appreciate that.

  7. Thanks Aaron.
I agree with you about the links.
It's nice to have someone else say it.
    I'll sort it out today.

  8. Hi Chris
    Yes it was colored before.
And yes, the new look is intended.

    Thanks for noticing :)
    I appreciate that.
    Thanks for the nitpick.

  9. Yes, I do like how you make up words.
    I think that's cool.
I've been battling with the header.
I'm not a designer, but I gave it a go yesterday.
I tried stripes and all sorts of things, but it didn't come out right.
Time to scour the net... O_o

  10. Good comment.
It seems its shared by many people.
    I'll get something up today.

  11. I like...my blog is also a magazine-style format, so I've definitely spent plenty of time searching through the options out there.

    I have two suggestions:
First, I'd recommend is a black (not gray) 14-pt. font. Some of us aren't as young as we used to be. :)

Second, I'd move the links on one sidebar to the other side and widen the main "post" column so you have more room for your content.

But I definitely like the new look.

  12. Hehehehe, your comment made me laugh Patrick.
    I'll take that into account.
I'm hoping to finish my 'upgrades' today.
    I appreciate it :)

  13. Congrats on your redesign. I need to do the same thing, but I just don't have the time I know I need to spend right now.
